The 2021 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory has been unveiled with styling updates, chassis tweaks and a more comfortable and protected riding position.

The bike’s new look brings it in line with the Tuono 660 we saw unveiled last week and includes a revised half fairing and bigger screen. Aprilia say this, coupled with a more comfortable riding position and lower footpegs will make it better for long-distance journeys.

The swingarm is now a lighter aluminium unit with a lower reinforcement brace as seen on the Italian firm’s MotoGP and WSBK machines.

A new, larger TFT display on the dash and more intuitive controls will allow you to navigate the smorgasbord of electronics settings including a choice of six riding modes – three for the track and three for the road - controled by a six-axis IMU and Marelli ECU.

Two of the track modes and one of the road options are customisable, allowing the rider to choose their own levels of ABS, traction control, wheelie control and engine braking should they wish.

The Tuono’s howling V4 engine remains unchanged but is now Euro5 compliant. That means you still get 173bhp and 89lbft of torque from the 1077cc V4 unit. As with previous versions, the Tuono V4 is available in two levels of trim, standard and a Factory version with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension.

There’s no word yet on availability or price of the new models but MCN will bring you more information as we get it along with a full review as soon as we’ve ridden them.
