Num campeonato praticamente dominado pela R NineT, não surpreende esta nova Scrambler 1100.

Ducati’s media event for the 2017 EIMCA show is just under a day away, but photos of the Italian company’s 2018 model year bikes are starting to leak on social media. As such, here is your first look at the Ducati Scrambler 1100, one of five all-new motorcycles from Borgo Panigale.

As you can see, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 is exactly as our sources said it would be, and it features the air-cooled, 1,087cc, v-twin engine that Ducatisti know and love, wedged into larger chassis and platform than the original Scrambler model.

Visually, the Scrambler 1100 picks up where the Monster 1100 EVO left off, with the new bike showing elements from both the Monster and Scrambler models that came before it.

Our sources tell us that what we are looking at here is the base model of the new Scrambler 1100, but that there will also be an “S” version of the Scrambler 1100 as well, likely fitted with Öhlins suspension and other premium components.

There is no word yet on horsepower figures for the largest of the Scrambler family, but we would expect that between Euro4 regulations (which are a nightmare for air-cooled engines) and Ducati’s new change on dyno measurements, the Scrambler 1100 makes under 100hp in its stock form.

More of a roadster than a scrambler, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 fits nicely between Ducati’s current sub-brand offering, as well as the air-cooled Monster 797.
