Benelli is promising to unveil a new engine at this weekend’s CIMA show in China—and if the teaser image shown on the company’s website is accurate, it’ll be identical to the MV Agusta F4 superbike engine that evolved through several iterations between 1998 and 2018. The pixelated shot has appeared on Benelli’s Chinese site in an announcement touting upcoming attractions at the CIMA event which runs September 20-23 in Chongqing. It’s likely to be one of this year’s biggest motorcycle trade expos given the cancellation of usual European events like EICMA and Intermot, so models that Benelli may have originally planned to launch at the Milan show appear to be making a Chinese debut instead.
